President, 1991 to Present
Management systems consultant since 1991 with a significant record of accomplishment. Information technology (IT) projects include the implementation
and management of a wide variety of application software systems. Industries served include health care, manufacturing, distribution,
professional services (legal, accounting and engineering), not for profit, real estate, construction, and transportation.
Mr. Wener has over 30 years of experience in process automation for payers (health plans, third party administrators or TPAs),
providers (hospital and physician groups), Management Service Organizations (MSOs) and clients in other industries. He specializes
in analyzing operational flow; identifying information requirements; preparing vendor requests for proposal; and selecting,
developing and implementing computerized solutions for a wide variety of companies.
Mr. Wener’s health care clients include Rush/Prudential Health Plans in Chicago, HMO Illinois, Mayo Clinic in Minnesota,
Harris Health Plans in Dallas, HealthFirst in New York and Mercy Health Plans in Wisconsin and Illinois, Mercy Hospital in
Chicago and other health maintenance organizations (HMOs). He also works closely with independent practice associations (IPAs),
third party administrators (TPAs), hospitals and professional provider groups.

Manager - Principal, 1979 to 1991
Partner-level position with responsibility to develop and manage the information technology consulting practice. Accomplishments
include:

Built from scratch and managed a profitable systems-oriented management consulting practice to include four active consulting
professionals.

Successfully assisted a wide variety of clients in several industries to meet their automated operational and accounting systems needs.
Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young)
Consultant - Senior Manager, 1975 to 1979
Senior Manager in a major consulting practice successfully developing and managing systems engagements for large clients within the
Chicago Office of the Big-8 accounting firm Arthur Young & Company. Designed and implemented major custom accounting systems
for large manufacturing, association and financial institutions.
International Harvester Company
Department Manager, 1971 to 1975
Engineer responsible for developing and implementing three major engineering systems for the Farm Equipment Division:

Automate a high bay warehouse stacker crane

Improve the cost effectiveness of new farm product design and development

Implement an automated Industrial Engineering time study system that was accepted for operations by unions working for International Harvester
The results of all three major systems projects were documented and presented at professional industry conferences.
Zenith Radio
Engineer, 1967 to 1971
System developer responsible for developing a computer program to topologically design printed circuit boards for use in electronic circuits within Zenith television sets. This software significantly reduced the topological design process from 3-4 weeks to only 1-2 days.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Mr. Wener is an active Associate Member of the Illinois Association of Health Plans (IAHP). He chaired a seminar developed for the
Illinois Association of Health Plans regarding the impact of HIPAA on HMOs. Mr. Wener speaks regularly for a variety of organizations
on systems-related issues and consults with the association regarding systems topics, legislation and issues related to the state HMOs.
Mr. Wener also served on several national committees for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Managed
Advisory Services (MAS) Division. In that capacity he reviewed and revised the MAS practice standards for CPAs in the United States
and wrote or co-authored several CPA Practice Guides for conducting systems related consulting engagements.
Mr. Wener served on several committees for the Illinois CPA Society including developing the first Midwest Accounting Show for the
ICPAS. He also co-chaired the second Midwest Accounting Show. This show has become an annual conference and a standard
for these types of conferences.
Mr. Wener created, developed and taught the Computer Systems Course for the Illinois Institute of Technology for their Masters in
Business Administration and Masters of Industrial Engineering programs. He developed the course as a series of case study analyses
of how to design and implement effective computer systems for an business organization. He also developed a correspondence course in business mathematics for the United Savings and Loan Association.
Mr. Wener is a frequent speaker. Past speaking engagements include the Illinois CPA Society, the Illinois Association of Health
Plans and RX2000 regarding health care organizations becoming HIPAA compliant. He also was an active speaker, program
planner and faculty member for RX2000 regarding preparing managed care organizations for the Year 2000.
Mr. Wener assisted the American Bar Association – Legal Technology Advisor Counsel in defining accounting system requirements,
evaluating and testing practice management software for ABA approval.
Mr. Wener is an active member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and Association of Health
Insurance Plans (AHIP).
PUBLICATIONS
Mr. Wener co-authored a book entitled "The Automated Law Office" published by the American Bar Association regarding evaluating and
selecting legal software.
